Does anyone else feel absolutely gutted by the news about Shamara and Limbusha? I’ve been thinking a lot about how their community has been coping since this devastating incident. They were both beloved in their neighborhood, and I can only imagine the void their absence has left behind. Shamara's passion for helping others and Limbusha's warm presence brought so much positivity to those around them. It's important that we continue to support the friends and family they left behind and advocate for more resources to prevent domestic violence. We need to ensure that other families don’t suffer similar tragedy. Sending love to everyone impacted by this senseless act.

I’ve been following the case surrounding the tragic deaths of Shamara Myers and her mother, Limbusha Fields, and I can't help but think about Victor Gilliam. The fact that he survived this terrifying ordeal must weigh heavily on him. Being a survivor of such a traumatic event, especially when others were not as fortunate, has got to be an incredibly complicated and difficult thing to process. I hope Victor is receiving the support and help he needs from both mental health professionals and his community. His friends and family hopefully are there to surround him with love during this difficult time. If anyone knows more about his condition or how he's doing now, sharing it could be of comfort to those of us who care from afar. Sending prayers and strength to everyone impacted by this senseless act of violence.

Has anyone else been thinking about the tragic impact on the kids involved here? Every time I read about what happened to Shamara Myers and her mother, my heart goes out not just to them, but to any children who might have been caught up in the aftermath of this nightmare. Can you imagine losing both your mom and grandmother in such a brutal way, not to mention the devastating involvement of your own father? It just makes me wonder about the support systems that are—or should be—in place for kids who find themselves facing such traumatic situations. I hope the community and any extended family have been able to step up and provide love, guidance, and counseling for them during this unimaginable time. It’s a reminder of how important it is for everyone to look out for each other, especially the young ones who bear the silent burden of these tragedies. Thoughts, anyone?
