In the spring of 2020, a tragedy unfolded in Bethany, Oklahoma, forever altering the lives of a local family. On the morning of April 1st, 32-year-old Black female Shamara Myers became a victim of a violent encounter that left three people dead and another injured. The incident, which took place near a convenience store, was determined by the Bethany Police Department to be a double murder-suicide.
