Hi everyone,
I've been following the tragic case of Na'Veha Alexander and Chantel Dean, and something that's really stayed with me is the immense courage shown by Na'Veha's younger sister, Brinae. Being just 12 years old at the time and witnessing such a traumatic event is unimaginable. It's a testament to her bravery that she was able to call 911 despite the danger and chaos around her.
I can't begin to fathom the emotional toll this has taken on her at such a young age, losing both a sister and an aunt in such a violent way. I truly hope she is receiving the support and counseling she needs to heal and find some peace. It’s moments like this that remind us of how important it is for communities to rally around young survivors to offer love and support.
My thoughts are with Brinae and the entire Alexander family as they continue to navigate life without Na'Veha. If anyone knows of local organizations that are helping or if there's a way the community can further support them, please share. We all need to look after our young ones who endure such pain and ensure they know they are not alone.
Stay safe, everyone. Hug your loved ones a little tighter today.
