I’ve been following the tragic case of Caleb Vaughan Collier and Kelly Ray Olen John Landsaw-Davis closely, and something keeps coming back to me: the devastation this community must feel. Haikey Creek Park, once a place of peace and relaxation, has become tainted by this senseless crime. I can only imagine how unsettling it must be for the families and friends of the victims to know that a spot so familiar and tranquil turned into the scene of such a horrifying act. It's a stark reminder that sometimes it's the places we know the best that can turn on us. The community hopefully finds some solace knowing that law enforcement has been relentless in their pursuit of justice. Their hard work eventually led to the convictions, and while nothing can bring Caleb and Kelly back, it seems to have brought some closure. My heart goes out to all those affected, and I hope for healing in the midst of this tragedy.

It’s comforting to see that the Cherokee Nation, along with law enforcement, worked tirelessly to ensure their voices were heard throughout the investigation. It's essential to remember the strength and unity demonstrated during such difficult times. Thoughts are with the families and friends of these incredible young men.
