Has anyone looked into the type of body armor Chief McCready was wearing at the time of the incident? It's tragic and unsettling to think that a bullet could penetrate his vest, especially given his experience in both the Army and law enforcement. I wonder if it was an issue with the vest's rating or just the power of a 30-06 rifle. This brings to light such an important discussion about the gear our officers depend on daily. It's devastating for the family and the community who lost someone so dedicated and diligent. My heart goes out to them as they navigate this painful time.
