I’ve been following Archie Jean Chapman’s case for a while now, and something about that note he left always seemed odd to me. Why would he write a note saying he was leaving Oklahoma, but not tell anyone where he was going? It just seems like if someone was planning to leave for a fresh start, they'd at least give a bit more context or a destination, right? Especially to someone as close as a girlfriend. I’m curious if anyone else has thoughts on whether he might have been planning to meet someone or if there’s a possibility someone else wrote the note? It just seems like such an abrupt way to go without any more communication. I hope someday we can find answers for his family and friends. Anyone else digging into this detail?
