I'm thinking about how tough it must have been for Marcus Bland's family to sit through Antonio Gray's trial. The details shared in court must have been incredibly painful to hear. It’s one thing to know your loved one was taken from you, but another altogether to hear about the violence they experienced. The bravery and strength it must take to face that process is unimaginable. Courtrooms can be so cold and clinical, but for the families, it's deeply personal and emotional. I hope they found some peace in the jury's decision, knowing that justice seems to have been served for Marcus. My thoughts are with them as they continue to navigate life without him.
