Did anyone else find it deeply unsettling how close this happened to Appleton and Melvina? It’s hard to imagine something so violent taking place in what many of us think as a typical residential area. I've been through that neighborhood a few times, and it just makes you realize how fragile our sense of safety can be. I can’t help but think about Michael Schoos' friends and relatives. Losing someone you care about is always difficult, but knowing it involved people his wife brought into their lives must make it all the more difficult. How do you ever find peace or trust again after something like that? It’s so incredibly vital for community members to support one another after such a tragedy, reminding us how important it is to advocate for neighborhood safety and awareness. My thoughts are with Michael’s loved ones and all those affected by this unimaginable ordeal.
