I'm deeply saddened to hear about the tragic loss of Richard D. Curtis, especially on a day meant for family and gratitude. It's hard to imagine the pain his loved ones are going through. I’ve been following the case closely, and something that stands out to me is the timing of these events. It seems like the tension and stress around holidays can sometimes exacerbate conflicts, but it's devastating that it led to violence in this case. The Milwaukee Police Department appears to be working hard, but I can't help but wonder about the underlying issues that might have led to such a confrontation. What could have been so severe that it ended in such a senseless act? My heart goes out to Richard's family, and I truly hope they get the answers they need and deserve. Does anyone in the community have insights into what more could be done to prevent these kinds of tragedies during what should be a peaceful season?

Has anyone else been really struck by the fact that Richard's death happened on Thanksgiving Day? It’s such a poignant reminder of how suddenly life can change. A day meant for gratitude and togetherness turned into a tragic loss for his family and friends. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for them to face this time of year now. Also, I’ve been thinking about the location of the shooting—N. 36th Street is an area with a tense history, but it’s still shocking to hear about such violence occurring during a holiday. There’s some hope, I think, in the fact that the police acted quickly in taking suspects into custody, but it's still frustrating not knowing all the details yet. I hope they find the answers they need to bring peace to Richard's loved ones and the community. Sending my thoughts to everyone affected by these events.
