I can’t stop thinking about the statement from Paula Carter who considered Aaron part of her adoptive family. It really speaks volumes about the kind of person Aaron was—being able to inspire such a deep bond with someone not even connected by blood. As someone who has no doubt left his mark on many, I can only imagine the hole left in their lives by his passing.
What haunts me even more is that this happened in broad daylight. There’s something so brazen and chilling about such a violent act happening in a place that should be one’s sanctuary. It's supposed to be safe to open your own front door, right? The fact that the authorities believe this was targeted makes me wonder what could have led to such a terrible outcome. Was he in the wrong place at the wrong time, or was there something deeper at play?
