Hey everyone,
I was reading about the Molson Coors shooting and wanted to discuss something that isn't always talked about in these tragic cases. Has anyone else thought about the impact on the first responders? I can’t even begin to imagine what they must have felt arriving on such a horrific scene. It's one thing to deal with emergencies, but to walk into a workplace where five lives were just lost is beyond comprehension.
I truly commend their bravery and professionalism in handling the situation, but I hope they've received support to cope with the emotional aftermath. These folks are often thrust into unimaginable circumstances and expected to maintain their composure, yet they're human like the rest of us. It's another layer to this tragedy that often goes unnoticed.
In memory of Trevor J. Wetselaar and the other victims, let's also remember those who step into chaos to bring understanding and closure. It’s a ripple effect of grief and trauma that extends far beyond what’s reported in the news. To the families, coworkers, and first responders, my thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
Stay safe and take care of each other.
I came across Trevor Wetselaar's story when reading about the Molson Coors tragedy, and I can't shake the thought of how senseless these acts of violence are. What stood out to me was Trevor’s impressive background—his service on a nuclear submarine in the Navy speaks volumes about the kind of dedication and courage he must have had. It's just so tough to comprehend that someone who served his country and came to work just like any other day didn’t make it home. I can't imagine the depth of loss his loved ones are feeling. It makes me wonder how we can better support veterans transitioning into civilian roles and ensure workplaces are environments of safety and camaraderie. My heart goes out to Trevor’s family and all who knew him. It’s a loss that echoes far beyond just one community.
