Has anyone else been following the case of Maurice Bow Jr.? My heart goes out to his family, especially with how they've had to navigate the complexities of the COVID-19 restrictions on top of their grief. I can't imagine how heart-wrenching it must have been for Maurice's brother and others who couldn't be by his side at the hospital. It's these small, but deeply painful, moments that often get overlooked in the broader story. I also feel for the family trying to honor Maurice's memory with a celebration of life only for more violence to break out. It's so incredibly sad that such chaos overshadowed a time meant for healing and remembrance. I hope that they can eventually find some peace and that justice is served swiftly. Does anyone have any info about proactive community efforts in the Madison area to address this cycle of violence? It seems like there’s been a real struggle to bring those responsible to justice, and I wonder how we can better support these families.
