Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about how much Ron Cramer influenced the local law enforcement landscape here in Eau Claire County. His commitment to mental health crisis intervention really stands out to me, especially now. It feels particularly poignant given the circumstances of his passing. As someone who worked closely with various community programs, Ron seemed to genuinely care about making sure people got the help they needed. What I'm wondering, though, is how his push for mental health support will continue without his leadership. He was such a champion for those initiatives. I read that the Sheriff's Office is expanding its peer support efforts, which is fantastic, but I wonder how they'll manage to keep that momentum going without him. If anyone knows more about these peer support programs or how they're planning to implement them, I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts. Ron's vision for supporting officers and community members alike should remain a priority, and I'm hoping that his tragic death will be a catalyst for even greater change in mental health support. Thanks for any insights you can provide. My thoughts remain with his family and all those who knew him. - A Concerned Local
