Hi everyone, I've been following the discussion around Nelvin Lenard Tucker's tragic case and was just reflecting on the heartfelt tribute I came across for him. It's clear that "Poodie Man," as he was affectionately called, meant a lot to so many people. I read about his funeral service being streamed live due to the COVID-19 restrictions, and it was touching to see how the community came together virtually to honor him. It's often hard to find closure in these situations, especially when someone with his joyful spirit is taken so suddenly and unjustly. I can't imagine how difficult this must be for his family and friends. Mourning in the middle of a pandemic adds another layer of complexity and I'm grateful technology provided a means for his loved ones to say their goodbyes, even from afar. I hope the progress in the case brings some semblance of justice and peace to those who loved him. Keeping everyone in my thoughts. Has anyone else here been able to watch the service or share stories about Nelvin? His legacy is certainly living on through everyone who knew him. Stay safe, Jess

Hey everyone, I’ve been following the Nelvin Lenard Tucker case, and I just wanted to share my thoughts about something that hasn’t been discussed as much. Tucker, or "Poodie Man" as his friends called him, was known for his lively personality and love for basketball, but I think what stands out is how the Tacoma community came together after his passing. The fact that so many people were involved in the search for justice and that a warrant was quickly issued against Emilio Calvillo shows just how impactful Tucker's life was. It's clear that he was deeply cherished by those around him, and the dedication from the Tacoma PD and his community is a testament to his legacy. The live streaming of his funeral service was a beautiful way to honor him during such restrictive times. It’s always tough to hear about these tragedies, but I hope that the collective efforts to get justice offer some solace to his family and friends. Let’s keep the conversation going and continue supporting each other through discussions like these. Stay safe, everyone.
