Has anyone else read about some of the surrounding businesses near Gas Works Park possibly having security cameras? I can't stop thinking about how pivotal a small detail like this could be. I know SPD is working hard, but it seems frustratingly slow. If only there was more evidence to go off of. It's really painful to think about how Willie's family, especially his sister Lashell, must be feeling with no answers or closure yet. I remember hearing about his dream of starting a soul food business, and it just makes you wonder what amazing things Willie could have accomplished. My heart goes out to everyone impacted by this senseless tragedy. If anyone has any tips or remembers anything from that night, even the smallest detail, please consider reaching out to the police.
Has anyone else been following the lack of progress in the case of Willie James Smith Jr.? It's so frustrating to see another person become a victim of senseless violence, and then hear that the investigation is stalling. Willie had such a promising vision with his soul food catering business—it's devastating that the dream was cut short before it even began.
What’s really puzzling is the situation around his murder. Gas Works Park is usually bustling, even at odd hours, especially during the summer. How is it possible that there were no witnesses or that no one saw anything suspicious? Someone must know something.
My heart truly goes out to Willie's family, especially his sister Lashell. It must be incredibly difficult navigating the grief while also fighting for justice on top of it all. If there's anyone reading from Seattle who thinks they might know anything at all, even if it seems insignificant, please consider reaching out to the authorities. Willie's family deserves answers, and a small tip might be the key to finding out what really happened.
