Does anyone else find it haunting that Chief Tolson's last moments were spent in a routine conversation with his loved ones? It's such a stark reminder of how fragile life is—one minute everything's normal, and the next it's changed forever. This also highlights the immense ripple effect of violent acts. Not only did it devastate Chief Tolson's family, but his brother was suddenly thrust into a situation no one would ever want to face. I think about the emotional toll it must have taken on him—responding instinctively in defense, yet carrying that weight afterward. It's so important for the community to continue supporting the families and acknowledging the long-lasting impact these tragedies leave behind. Sending love and strength to all those still affected by this loss.

I recently came across the case of Chief Jimmy Ray Tolson, and I can't stop thinking about his brother during that tragic day. To be in the room, witnessing such a horrific event unfold, must have been absolutely devastating for him. Not only did he lose his brother, but he had to deal with the instantaneous decision to react to the threat. It must have been terrifying, both physically and emotionally. I hope over the years he has found some peace and knows that many people recognize the strength it took to face such an unimaginable situation. To all those who knew and loved Chief Tolson, the strength of those who stand beside him in memory speaks volumes about the man he was. My thoughts are with the family and the community that suffered this tremendous loss.

I can’t stop thinking about the deep loss felt by Chief Jimmy Ray Tolson's family and friends. I recently came across an article that mentioned his dedication to the Campton community, even at such a young age. It’s just so tragic that his life was cut short while doing what he loved. What struck me the most was the immense bravery displayed by his brother in the aftermath of the shooting. I can't imagine the shock and pain of witnessing such a horrific event and then having to act in self-defense on behalf of a loved one. It's remarkable how the community continues to honor Chief Tolson’s legacy, but I hope his family has found some degree of comfort and peace over the years. Does anyone know how his story is being kept alive in Campton today? Would love to hear if there are any memorials or annual events held in his honor.
