I’ve been thinking a lot about Kayce and her aspirations in the Law Enforcement Explorers Post 111. It's really touching to know she wanted to serve and protect her community one day. Her dreams of becoming a police officer show just how committed she was to making a positive impact. It's so heartbreaking to see her life cut short when she had so much potential and so much she wanted to give back. I can only imagine the loss her family and friends feel, knowing she won’t be able to fulfill those dreams. Her dedication should remind us all of the kind of future we’re missing without her here.
My thoughts are with her loved ones during these difficult times. It's incredible how they’ve managed to keep her memory alive and continue to fight for safer environments for students everywhere.

I can only imagine the impact she might have had if given the chance to see those dreams through. It’s heart-wrenching to think of all the potential that was lost that day. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and those who still carry the weight of that tragic day. Let’s continue to remember and honor the light she brought into the world.
I was recently thinking about the role of extracurricular activities and how they shape young people’s lives. I came across Kayce Steger's story, and it really got me reflecting. She seemed so involved and dedicated—balancing schoolwork with band, sports, and her aspirations in law enforcement. It’s impressive how much she accomplished at such a young age. Beyond academics, she was a part of the Agape Club and the Explorer Post 111, already putting in the groundwork for a future protecting others. I can’t help but feel a loss not only of what she brought to her community but what her future could have held. For a young person like Kayce, with so much promise, it truly is a profound loss for her family, friends, and all who knew her. It also highlights the importance of supporting and protecting kids who are trying to make a positive impact in their community. This world needs more people like Kayce, not fewer.
