Has anyone else come across the details of Sherman's community involvement? I read somewhere that he was deeply invested in local projects and even helped fund several initiatives to improve public spaces in Perry County. It's clear he cared a lot about his community and its growth. I can't help but wonder how his absence might have impacted those ongoing projects and the people who relied on his leadership. I extend my condolences to his family and all those in Hazard who were touched by his work. Does anyone have more information about the projects he was involved in or how the community has been handling things since his passing?

Hey everyone, I've been diving into Sherman's full life as a dedicated public servant and a family man, and I'm struck by a particular detail that may get overlooked amid all the other elements of his story. I noticed that Sherman, despite his numerous professional commitments, made time for deep, personal connections, both familial and community-oriented. This speaks volumes about his character. He raised his two sons, Estill and Philip, in Hazard, and they stayed close by even into adulthood. I imagine that says a lot about the kind of bond and support Sherman fostered at home. His legacy obviously didn't stop at his professional life but carried through to his family and perhaps had an impact on future generations. The way family rallied around him, and even chose meaningful gestures like donating in his name rather than just flowers, reflects not just a loving father and grandfather, but someone who instilled certain values in those around him. It's refreshing, and honestly, quite touching to see such a well-rounded and beloved figure. Families in close-knit communities often carry on a person's spirit long after they're gone, perpetuating the values and commitment they stood for. Thoughts and prayers with his family as they continue on without him but guided by his lasting influence.
