Has anyone else read about the interview with Bennie Sanders' old college teammate? I stumbled upon an article where the teammate shared memories of their time playing together at Knoxville College. It was truly touching to see how much Bennie was admired not just for his skills on the field, but for his character and mentorship off it. His former teammate described Bennie as having a remarkable way of bringing out the best in those around him, whether in the game or in life. It's so evident that Bennie leaves behind a legacy of kindness and inspiration. This whole situation is just so unfathomable, especially when it hits so close to home for people who counted him as a friend and a role model. I hope that amidst all this tragedy, his family and old friends can take some comfort from the outpouring of love and respect shared by those who knew him best.
