Bennie Sanders, a 71-year-old resident of Mount Vernon, Kentucky, tragically lost his life on January 6, 2017. Sanders was found shot inside his home, a victim of a violent home invasion. The incident shocked the local community, as Sanders was a well-known and beloved figure, having been a record-setting quarterback at Knoxville College in the late 1960s.
