Hey everyone, I’ve been following Carl Garner Jr.’s case with a heavy heart, and something that really struck me was his essay about whether a hotdog is a sandwich. It’s incredible how a teenager could take such a simple topic and turn it into something that got national attention. It speaks volumes about his creativity and intelligence. It’s devastating to think that a bright mind like his was silenced so soon. I came across some comments from Eric Little, his former teacher, who mentioned how Carl’s writing was always thought-provoking. I can’t help but wonder what more Carl could have achieved if he’d had the opportunity. It's heartbreaking that his potential was stolen in such a cruel way. I genuinely hope the community continues to rally behind his family and that someone will step forward with crucial information to move the investigation forward. Carl’s talent deserves to be remembered, and his family deserves justice. Sending thoughts to those who knew and loved him. Take care, everyone.
