I can't stop thinking about Jonathan's family, especially after reading about what his father shared. It’s painful to imagine losing someone so young and full of promise. From what his dad said, it sounds like Jonathan was genuinely a good soul who made an impression on everyone he met. I’m wondering about the community's response and if there have been any efforts to honor his memory or support his family during this unimaginable time. Does anyone know if there have been any gatherings or fundraisers? It's clear this loss has shaken Newport deeply, and it's touching to see how people come together in times like these. Sending all my thoughts to those grieving.
Anyone else find it disturbing that we still don’t know the motive behind Jonathan's murder? It’s been really weighing on my mind. From everything I’ve read, Jonathan seemed like a genuinely good person who didn't deserve this. I can't imagine what his father, Jonathan Callery, is going through right now. My thoughts are with him and the entire community reeling from this loss. I hope that the upcoming trial will shed some light on what happened that night on Lindsey Street and bring some semblance of justice and peace to Jonathan’s loved ones. Does anyone have insights or updates on when the extradition might happen? Praying for some answers soon.
