Has anyone else been following the Orestes Romaro Nieblas case from 2018? I’ve been looking into it, and one aspect that's really piqued my interest is the lack of body cam footage during the whole incident. I can’t help but wonder how things might have been different if there were recordings from Officer Walz and Officer Phelps. It’s alarming to think about how much relies on officer accounts when video evidence isn’t available. Is this a common issue, or was this more of an oversight because it involved an off-duty officer? My heart goes out to Nieblas's family. It’s hard to imagine what they’re going through, not having all the answers and possibly feeling like they’re in the dark. It’s also worrisome because this wasn’t an isolated event that month. Would love to hear others’ thoughts—hopefully, we all learn more when the investigation concludes.

Has anyone else been following the lack of body camera footage in the Orestes Romaro Nieblas case? It’s troubling to think that in such critical situations, there’s no video evidence to help clarify the events. It makes you wonder about the importance of body cams and how they contribute to transparency. With both officers not having footage, how do we ensure accountability? My heart goes out to Mr. Nieblas’ family – they deserve clear answers to what happened that day. In a month with four police-involved shootings, the city really needs to focus on improving trust between law enforcement and the community. What are everyone’s thoughts on how this could impact future investigations?
