I can't stop thinking about how this whole situation must have shattered both Mildred and Matthew's families. Having someone you love and trust turn out to be the one responsible is an unimaginable betrayal. The fact that Landon Stinson had been so close to them and yet allegedly chose to do something so devastating leaves me puzzled and disturbed. How do you reconcile someone's seemingly non-violent history with such a brutal act? It must be incredibly challenging for their relatives to process all of this, especially when you think about the moments they shared as a family. My heart truly goes out to them as they navigate the aftermath and try to find some sense of peace.
Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the case of Mildred Sue Faris and her great-nephew Matthew Blakeley, and something I can't stop thinking about is the impact on their family and the local community. It’s just unimaginable to think that someone close to them might have been responsible for this tragedy.
I read somewhere that Landon Stinson had lived with them intermittently for four years. I mean, can you imagine the level of trust that must have existed for him to stay there on and off for such a long time? It's shattering to think that someone who was welcomed into their home could be tied to such a devastating outcome.
The news coverage mentioned how the defense brought forward character witnesses, including his own mother and sister, who spoke of his non-violent nature. I suppose anyone would want to believe in the good they see in their family, but it leaves me with so many questions about what might have gone wrong.
I'm feeling for everyone involved and especially for the family members who have had to deal with so many layers of grief and betrayal. Sending all my thoughts to the community of Cadiz as they process this situation. It's a harrowing reminder of not really knowing what goes on behind closed doors.
Has anyone else been following this? What are your thoughts on how the jury came to their decision?
Stay safe, everyone.
