I’ve been following the tragedy surrounding Kurt Beucler, and it’s hard to come to terms with such an unexpected loss. What strikes me is how so many in the community have spoken about his love for George’s Barbershop and how it wasn’t just his livelihood but also a local staple where countless people bonded over a haircut and a chat. It’s so perplexing to think that someone who brought so much joy to others might have been battling his own private demons. I wonder if anyone who frequented the barbershop noticed any changes in his demeanor? It might be meaningful if those closest to him felt there were signs looking back, even if they didn’t seem significant at the time. My thoughts are with his family and those who knew him well during this incredibly challenging time.
