I can't stop thinking about the night Dwante B. Benson, or "Poppy Loco" as many knew him, was taken from his community. It's unfathomable that a young talent on the verge of making a name for himself in the hip-hop world is no longer with us. It’s particularly chilling to hear that the bullets found were linked to a gun he had. It raises so many questions about the circumstances that led to such a horrific event—was it a setup, or did it have something to do with his growing presence in the music scene? To think he was just about to shoot a new music video and celebrate another year of life makes it more devastating. It's gut-wrenching for his family and friends to face such a loss with so many unanswered questions. My thoughts are with his loved ones as they seek justice for Dwante. We need to support one another and push for more efforts to combat the gun violence tearing apart our communities. His music and aspirations should have been his legacy, not this tragedy.

I can’t stop thinking about this part of the case where the bullets found at the scene matched the gun Dwante had on him. It's such a bizarre detail, right? It just raises so many questions. Was he trying to defend himself, or could this mean something else entirely? It’s so difficult to comprehend how someone who had just celebrated another year of life could be taken away so suddenly. Knowing that he had plans to work on his music career the day after being shot is just haunting. It makes you wonder who would have wanted to harm him and why the investigation hasn't seemed to uncover much yet. My heart goes out to Dwante's family and friends; the not knowing must be incredibly tough. I hope we can see some progress in this case soon, for their sake and for Dwante's memory. Would be great to hear more thoughts or info from anyone keeping up with this situation.

Has anyone else been struck by how the music community in Minneapolis has rallied around Dwante B. Benson's family? Despite the tragedy, it's powerful to see local artists and fans come together to honor Poppy Loco's legacy. They’ve been sharing his music, posting tributes, and even organizing a memorial concert to keep his memory alive. It’s truly touching to see the impact he had on his friends and fans in such a short time. I really hope they find justice soon, not just for Benson, but for everyone affected by this senseless violence. Anyone have more updates on how the community response is evolving?
