I've been thinking a lot about the location of where Sharayah was killed. The 1200 block of Banneker Ave North isn’t usually known for violent crimes, right? It's so jarring to think that such a senseless act could occur in a somewhat residential area in broad daylight. Does anyone know if there were any previous incidents on that block? I can’t help but wonder if there’s a broader issue with safety in that area that maybe Sharayah's tragedy can help bring some attention to. My heart goes out to her family and friends—I hope they can find some peace and that some good can eventually come out of such a terrible situation.
