I've been reading through the details surrounding Alex's tragic death, and something that really sticks out to me is the timeline of events that night. Ecker mentioned that Alexandra grabbed the gun from his backpack after they came back from their night out. But I'm finding it hard to wrap my head around why he had a gun in his backpack in the first place. It's not exactly normal to carry a firearm around while you're out for the night, especially when you work in healthcare and are sworn to do no harm. I can't help but wonder if bringing that gun was premeditated on some level. Alexandra was such a caring person, always looking out for others, and it's gut-wrenching to think she might have been in danger without even knowing it. I can't imagine what her family is going through, having to grapple with such a loss under these circumstances. Anyone else have thoughts on why Ecker would have had the gun with him that night?

Does anyone else find it strange that Alexandra's dedication to helping others didn't seem to carry through to her relationship with Ecker? It's so unsettling. She spent her entire career in healthcare, constantly giving and supporting those in need, and you would think she would have had such a strong support system herself. Yet, here she was in a complicated relationship with someone who eventually was convicted of murdering her. I can’t help but think about the emotional turmoil she might have felt trying to balance her own needs in a relationship that appears to have been toxic. It just goes to show that no matter how compassionate or accomplished someone might be, they can still find themselves in dangerous situations. It should be a reminder for all of us to look out for our friends and loved ones. My heart goes out to her family, friends, and colleagues who must be dealing with such a tremendous loss.

Has anyone else been struck by how many lives Alexandra touched through her healthcare work? It's so difficult to process her loss, knowing how devoted she was to helping others. Her dedication to public health and nursing really shows the kind of person she was—a genuine force for good in her community. It just makes the whole situation even more tragic that this is how things ended for her. Thinking about how many people she must have inspired during her career, it makes me wonder if anyone on here knew her professionally or received care from her? It’s clear she had such an impact, and stories from her work could be a beautiful way to honor her memory. My thoughts are with her family and friends during this devastating time.
