It's been over eight years since Kevin Boswell's tragic death, and I can't help but wonder about the role the community plays in cases like this. I find it incredibly moving how Kansas City came together to support Kevin's family and attend the services at Greater Jerusalem Baptist Church back in August 2015. This shows how deeply he was loved and respected.
But it also highlights something really important—how crucial community involvement is to solving these tragic cases. I think we sometimes forget that even the smallest detail shared by someone who thinks it might not matter could potentially be the key to solving the case. I hope over the years, people have continued to come forward with any information they might have about that day on North 27th Street.
My thoughts are with Kevin's family and friends. They deserve closure, and the community can play a vital part in helping to achieve that.
