Just learned about the case of Spc. Richard "Brennan" Berdell Cox and it’s incredibly upsetting. I can't help but think about the immense pride his family must have felt with him being in the 1st Infantry Division at just 22 years old. It's such a loss for his parents and friends to endure, especially when he was obviously dedicated to serving his country. What strikes me is how fast life can change—he was simply a young man stationed at Fort Riley, doing what he believed in, and then this tragic event happens. It’s frustrating and heartbreaking that there still isn’t any clear information about suspects or reasons behind the shooting. It feels like his story deserves more attention and answers than it’s getting. I hope every lead is being chased down meticulously. Brennan and his loved ones deserve justice and the truth, whatever that may be. If anyone has insights or knows the community’s view on the ongoing investigation, I would really appreciate it.
