I've been thinking a lot about how this tragedy unfolded right at Jerrie's home. It's terrifying to consider that something as random as a stray bullet can turn lives upside down. It's not just a loss for her family, who must be grappling with immense pain right now, but also for the community where she made her mark through her work. Homes By Ross wasn't just a business; Jerrie was said to genuinely care about helping people find the right homes, and she truly was a fixture in Topeka. The fact that no arrests have been made is troubling, and I'm hopeful that someone with the right information will come forward. My heart goes out to her son and granddaughter—it's hard to imagine the void her absence has left in their lives. Here’s hoping for some justice and closure sooner rather than later.
