I’ve been thinking about the effects of Victor's case on his tight-knit community in Salina. It’s clear that he was an integral part of many lives, not just his immediate family. What strikes me most is how the absence of justice can deepen the wound of his loss. For a community that relied on his kindness and presence, not knowing who is responsible for taking him away must be an added burden they carry every day. I truly hope that those who have information come forward to offer some peace to those that cared for him. The grief is compounded when answers are elusive, and everyone affected by this tragedy deserves to know the truth. Victor's legacy shouldn’t be just its mystery, but also how he touched the lives of those around him. Let's keep his family in our thoughts and continue to amplify his story until it garners the attention and resolution it deserves.
