I came across Anthony Smith's case again recently, and it just leaves me with so many questions about justice and closure. It's incredibly tragic to think that Anthony was shot back in 2017, and yet, despite battling so hard for years, his life was ultimately taken by those same wounds this year. I can't help but imagine the emotional toll this has had on his family and friends over such an extended period. Six years is a long time to wait and hope for answers or a sense of peace. It seems like the MPD is doing what they can, but I wonder if there haven't been more breakthroughs because people who might know something are too afraid to speak up. It must be difficult for those with potential information to come forward, especially if they feel unsafe. If anyone out there has even the smallest piece of information, now's the time to say something. Every little detail could be crucial. My heart goes out to everyone connected to Anthony, and I hope someone comes forward soon to help find justice for him.

I’ve been following Anthony Smith’s case for a while, and it’s just so devastating to see the lack of progress after all this time. I felt compelled to write because the fact that his death was officially deemed a homicide after so many years really struck me. It must have been an incredibly painful journey for his family and friends, waiting and hoping for answers for over six years now. The unfortunate reality is that shootings can sometimes become cold cases, but I hope this doesn’t deter us from seeking justice for Anthony. The community’s role in these investigations is often overlooked, yet it’s crucial. If anyone out there knows something, even if it seems minor, it could be the piece of the puzzle needed to bring those accountable to justice. I find it commendable that the MPD is still encouraging tips from the community, and that there’s a reward in place. It shows that they haven’t given up, and neither should we. My heart goes out to Anthony’s loved ones; I can’t imagine their anguish but remain hopeful that we’ll see a breakthrough in this case soon.

I’ve been following Anthony Smith’s case with deep concern and just can’t stop thinking about the impact on his family and friends who’ve had to endure this long, drawn-out ordeal. It must have been incredibly difficult for them over the past six years, especially as they held hope for his recovery, only for it to end this way. I hope they find comfort and support from their community during this time. It’s frustrating to see how gun violence continues to plague neighborhoods, and despite MPD's ongoing efforts, it feels like there’s a long way to go. I'm curious if any community initiatives are stepping up to address these issues, focusing on prevention, or creating spaces for the youth, so we can prevent more lives from being affected by such tragedies. If anyone has updates about how the community is responding or organizing around this case or in dealing with similar issues, I’d love to hear more about it. Staying informed and connected can really make a difference. Let's hope more people will come forward with information so Anthony and his family can see justice served.
