I’ve been following Zaan Scott’s case for quite some time now and found myself reflecting on how profound it is that even in such dark moments, the community often comes together to support the victim’s loved ones. It's amazing how friends, family, and even strangers rallied around Zaan's family after this tragedy. They held fundraisers and organized community events to raise awareness about violence in Southeast Washington. It made me think about the strength and resilience they showed, ensuring that his legacy as a passionate swim coach and a kind-hearted person lived on. For those who knew him, I imagine his memory is a beacon of light amidst the darkness. My thoughts are with those who knew him and continue to advocate for change in his honor.
