I've been following Piera Sterling Barbour's case since it happened, and it still bothers me that there's been no resolution. It's crazy to think about how no one has been held accountable for this. I know some people might focus on his past, but it’s clear to anyone who reads more about him that he was more than his mistakes. I keep thinking about that officer who called him a hero—it’s powerful to hear that he managed to leave a positive mark on someone whose job is to keep people safe. If nothing else, that should speak volumes about the kind of person he really was beneath any mistakes he might have made. Does anyone think that his willingness to help others could have played a part in whatever circumstances led to that tragic day? It's just an odd thought that popped into my head, but sometimes these things are complex. I truly hope anyone with information steps up so his family can find some peace. It feels like it's about time for some answers.
