I can't believe it's been over a year and still no real leads or suspects on the tragic killing of Demetri Harvin. I've been following this case closely, hoping for some developments. Every time I walk down 1st Street, NW, I can't help but think about Demetri's family and how they must be feeling, not knowing who is responsible for this senseless act. It’s frustrating to think that someone out there knows something and hasn’t come forward yet. The MPD is doing everything they can, but they need our help too. If anyone was in the area that day or saw anything unusual, even if it seems insignificant, please, please reach out to the detectives. It's a real tragedy when a life is taken, and the least we can do is try to help his loved ones find some peace and closure. Sending my thoughts to Demetri's family and friends as they continue to search for answers.
