I find the aftermath of Kendall Brown's tragedy truly unsettling, especially given the way the situation spiraled out of control so quickly. I can't help but think about those moments after the altercation when her friends must have realized something was terribly wrong. It must have been absolutely gut-wrenching to discover she was still inside the apartment. Although they initially thought she was right behind them, just imagine the shock and guilt they must have felt upon realizing she was left behind. I really hope her friends are getting the support they need to cope with this unexpected loss. I'm also left wondering about the MPD’s response time and why it took seven minutes to break down the door. Is this standard procedure? Could a faster intervention have made a difference? It’s horrifying to think about how alone Kendall must have felt in her final moments, and my heart goes out to her family and friends during what is undoubtedly an incredibly difficult time.
