I've been following the case of Kalif Brown and the ongoing gun violence that has devastated his family for quite some time. It's hard to even imagine the pain his mother, Seditra, must be going through. Losing three sons in such a horrifying manner is unimaginable. I keep wondering if there are systemic issues at play here, because it seems like the pattern of violence in certain areas of DC has deep roots. Are there enough community resources or interventions in place that might help prevent these tragedies? It just feels like there must be more that can be done to support these families before it’s too late. My heart goes out to Kalif's family, and I truly hope justice is served someday. If anyone has ideas on how to push for more community support or has heard of successful programs elsewhere, I'd love to hear about it.
