Has anyone else been following the case of Vernon Harrison’s murder in DC? It’s absolutely shocking to think that someone could be taken away in such a violent manner. I can’t help but wonder about the circumstances surrounding that night—Was he targeted, or was it a random act? Vernon seemed like someone who really valued his community, and I keep thinking about all the lives he's touched through his time at Crossland High and Freedom Church. I hope those memories give some comfort to his family and friends. It's frustrating and sad that, even with the reward and efforts of the MPD, there hasn't been any progress yet. The area around Alabama Avenue seems like it would have at least one witness, especially at that hour. It’s a tough situation, but hopefully, more people come forward with information so we can find some justice for Vernon and his loved ones. Sending good thoughts to everyone involved.
