I'm thinking today about the unspeakable loss faced by the families of Emmett and Lois Johnson. It's chilling to consider that they were simply taking a rest during a road trip and encountered such a monster at that rest stop in Ely. They were likely just taking a break, maybe discussing where to head next or what they'd eat for dinner, completely unaware of the danger lurking nearby. My heart goes out to their family and friends, who were robbed of such loving individuals in such a horrific manner. Has anyone come across any memorials or tributes that honor their memory? It would be comforting to know they're remembered not just for the tragedy of their loss, but for who they were in life.
