Hey everyone, I was revisiting some old cases and was reminded of the tragic events that unfolded during the 2002 River Run riot. The loss of Jeramie "Jay" Bell and others that day is just so senseless. I can't imagine how devastating it must be for Jay's family and friends to have their loved one caught in such violence. I read somewhere that the casino was absolutely packed when it all went down. There were innocent people trying to enjoy their weekend, only to be caught amidst chaos. It's shocking how quickly a situation can escalate, especially involving such infamous gangs. Does anyone have more details on the security response at Harrah's that day? From what I understand, controlling such a large crowd must have been a nightmare. Remembering the victims and hoping their families have found some peace over the years. Appreciate any insights.

I was reading about the River Run riot again and it's just so devastating to think about how one moment of chaos took Jay Bell's life. I wasn't there, but from what I gather, it was absolute pandemonium inside Harrah's Casino. It got me thinking about the bystanders caught in the middle of all this. Laughlin is generally pretty quiet, and then you have this annual rally that just flips the town upside down. I just can't imagine what it must've been like for people who were just trying to enjoy a night out. Families could've been there, unsuspecting tourists... and suddenly they're witnessing such brutality. It's a harsh reminder that these gang feuds spill over and can affect anyone, not just the people directly involved. My heart goes out to Jay's family and everyone else who got swept up in that horror. Stay safe, everyone, and keep an eye on your surroundings—it can all change in a heartbeat.
