Hey everyone, I've been following the deeply tragic case of Fabriccio Patti and can't stop thinking about how it’s affecting his school community. As an eighth-grader at Lawrence Junior High, Fabriccio was just a kid with his whole life ahead of him. From what I've read, the school environment is understandably shaken by this loss, and I can't imagine how his classmates must be feeling right now. I've seen a lot of discussions about crime and prevention, but I haven’t seen much about the support for these kids who are having to process such a traumatic event at an early age. Are there any resources or counselors available at the school for Fabriccio’s friends and peers? It's incredibly important that they have people to talk to during this difficult time. My heart goes out to the entire school community, and I hope they find the strength to heal together. If anyone has more information on how the school is handling this, or ways the community might be coming together to support them, please share.
