Hey everyone, I've been following the Trayvone Crocket case for a while, and something that really got me thinking is the role of the apartment complex's security measures. Crocket's shooter, Malik Kendrick, was actually working as a security guard there, which seems like such a massive lapse in judgment from the management. How was someone with such a complicated history, including a previous connection with Crocket, allowed to work in a position meant to protect residents?
I also can't help but wonder about the community in that eastern part of Las Vegas. What support systems were in place (or not) to prevent violence like this from occurring? Maybe there are systemic issues at hand that haven’t been addressed.
To those who knew Trayvone Crocket, my deepest condolences go out to you.
