I've been thinking a lot about the area where Michael Roach was killed—around the homeless camp near Greater Nevada Field. It's not a part of Reno we usually hear much positive about, but it's a community in its own right. These are people who might not have traditional homes, but they're still living their lives as best they can. It's just so sad to think that Michael lost his life in a place where he might have felt a sense of belonging or at least familiarity. I wonder about the witnesses or the friends he might have made there. Seeing something so devastating must have been traumatic for them. My heart goes out to everyone affected, including those who might not be in the spotlight but are nonetheless touched by this tragedy. I hope they too find the support and peace they need during such a difficult time. ?️
