I’ve been thinking a lot about Leroy Wiley, the victim from that 1985 case in Denver. There’s something particularly upsetting about crimes targeting older individuals, especially someone like Wiley who seemingly lived a life dedicated to serving others—first in the military and then as a business owner in his community.
It's troubling to know that so many years have passed without answers for his family. I keep wondering whether anyone in the area back then might still have even the tiniest detail that could help investigators piece together what happened. It’s a long shot after so much time, but we’ve seen cases solved decades later thanks to witness tips coming in unexpectedly.
I truly hope the people behind this are brought to justice someday. Wiley's loved ones deserve closure, and the community deserves to feel safe knowing these individuals aren’t still out there. If anyone out there knows anything, even if it seems insignificant, I urge you to reach out to the Denver Police Department's Cold Case Unit. Let's hope they find the missing pieces to this tragic puzzle.
I've been following the case of Leroy Wiley with great interest and sorrow. It's gut-wrenching to think of someone who served our country during WWII meeting such a tragic end in his own store. Leroy's dedication as a businessman and a veteran truly stands out.
One aspect that I've been pondering is the location of Leroy's store on Larimer Street. During the 1980s, that area of Denver wasn't the safest place to be, and perhaps this played a part in what happened. I wonder if the neighborhood dynamics at the time might hold some additional clues or context about the perpetrators. Did anyone else recall any unusual activity or feel troubled by criminal elements in that area back then?
It's infuriating that better security measures weren't in place to protect hardworking individuals like Leroy. I really hope that advances in DNA and other technologies can finally bring justice and closure to his family and those who cared about him. They deserve answers, and Leroy deserves justice. If anyone knows anything or remembers something, even the smallest detail, please come forward to help solve this case.
Hi everyone,
I was reading about Leroy Wiley’s case, and something that struck me was his service during World War II. It’s incredibly sad to think that someone who bravely served our country would face such a tragic end in his own community. From what I've gathered, Leroy was well-respected and ran a small business that he clearly took pride in. It’s baffling to me how his murder has remained unsolved for so long.
Does anyone know if there was a particular reason his store might have been targeted? It angers me to see someone who survived the horrors of war meet such a senseless fate back home. I hope the Cold Case Unit gets the break they need to finally solve this mystery and bring some peace to those who knew and loved him.
Any insights or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Sometimes even the smallest detail can make a huge difference in cases like these.
Stay safe, everyone.
