Hey, everyone. I was thinking a lot about the role that DNA technology plays in solving cold cases like John Chavez's. It's incredible how advancements over the years have brought justice to families who have waited so long for answers. I read that even minute traces of DNA left at a crime scene can now potentially identify a suspect, which is both fascinating and hopeful. In John's case, there must be some physical evidence collected back in 1986 that could yield new insights with today's technology. I truly hope that the Denver PD’s Cold Case Unit can make use of these advancements to get some closure for John's family and friends. They deserve to know what happened and to see justice served, and it's reassuring to know that the department is actively working toward that goal. To anyone who knows something, even if it seems small or insignificant—please consider reaching out. Advances in DNA mean that any little piece of information might be the key to finally solving this case. Sending all my thoughts to John's loved ones.
