It's hard to fathom the pain caused by that terrible day at Columbine. As I've been reflecting on the details, I've become more aware of Robyn Anderson's involvement in buying those guns for Harris and Klebold. It seems like she genuinely didn't understand what her actions would lead to, thinking it was for target practice. I can't help but think about the weight she must carry now, knowing that her attempt to help friends indirectly contributed to such a huge loss. I'm hoping she has found some peace and maybe even a way to honor the victims, like Steve Curnow, by advocating for safer gun laws or supporting healing initiatives. These events remind us all of the complex web of decisions that lead to tragedy and the importance of vigilance in preventing future ones. ?
Does anyone else find it haunting how Steve Curnow’s story just captures a young life full of potential completely cut short? It’s so difficult to imagine what his family went through, and still go through, having to face such a devastating loss. From what I’ve read, Steven was an aspiring pilot and a big soccer fan—he even played on the school's soccer team. Can’t help but wonder what dreams he might have pursued if he’d been given the chance. It feels important to keep conversations about Steve and the other victims alive, to honor their memories and continue advocating for safer schools so that no other family has to endure such a tragedy. What measures have been taken in schools you’re familiar with since Columbine to enhance security and student safety?
