Hi everyone, I find it so hard to wrap my head around how someone as young as Marcell Jay Johnson could have their life taken away so senselessly. I’ve been following this case closely, and what really stands out to me is the whole issue of gun violence among young people. It's deeply troubling to think about how easily a tragic event like this can unfold, especially knowing it happened right outside the Fitzsimons Apartments where Marcell should have been safe. What I can't stop thinking about is how things escalated to the point of shooting. What kind of situation pushes an 18-year-old like James Lee to make such reckless choices? Where do these young people get access to guns, and what can be done to prevent this cycle from continuing? It's infuriating and sad at the same time. My heart goes out to Marcell’s family. This is a pain that they will carry forever. And for the 17-year-old who survived, I can’t imagine the trauma he must be experiencing, knowing he was inches away from losing his own life. Sending love and strength to everyone affected by this.
