Hey everyone, I can't stop thinking about the community response after the tragic incident involving Sean Point and the other victims. I saw that there were a few vigils and community gatherings held in their honor, which I think is such a beautiful show of support. It's a reminder of how people come together in times of sorrow to uplift one another and remember those we've lost. It's clear that Sean and the others were a part of a community that cared deeply for them. I've heard the local community is now pushing for increased community-police dialogues and initiatives aimed at reducing gun violence, which is a step in the right direction. It's just a shame that it often takes a tragedy to ignite these necessary conversations. Has anyone here attended any of these gatherings, or are there more scheduled? It would be great to know how we can continue supporting their families and ensure their voices are heard. Sending thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by this tragedy. ?

Has anyone else been following the North Park Hill case since it happened? I've thought a lot about how little information has come out about potential suspects. It feels like the families of Sean, Derrius, and the third victim are being left in a painful limbo with no clear answers. I can't even begin to imagine how difficult it must be to not have closure while grappling with the loss of a loved one. Denver, like many places, is really struggling with the gun violence epidemic, but that doesn't make the waiting any easier for those affected. I came across something about the 2022 Public Safety Action Plan, and it sounds promising, but I hope it doesn’t get bogged down in bureaucracy and starts to make a real difference soon. Keeping Sean, Derrius, and the other victim in my thoughts and hoping for justice.

Hi everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the impact on the local community when tragedies like the shooting of Sean Point and Derrius Woods happen. It's just devastating to see the ripples such events create, not only for the families (who must be experiencing unimaginable loss) but also for the residents of North Park Hill who constantly grapple with the fear and anxiety these incidents stir up. What strikes me is how a single night can forever alter the sense of safety within a neighborhood. Community members who once felt at home now have to deal with the unsettling reality of violence on their doorstep. It makes me wonder about the long-term effects on mental health and the social fabric of the area. I'm curious how people in North Park Hill are coming together to support each other and honor the memories of Sean, Derrius, and the unnamed victim. Are there any new initiatives or gatherings aimed at community healing? I believe collective resilience could be such a powerful force in times like these. Sending love and strength to all those affected. ❤️
