Hey everyone,
I've been reading up on the New Welcome Inn shooting case and something really struck me about the lack of witnesses or CCTV footage. I find it bewildering that in a district as bustling as RiNo, with its active nightlife and constant foot traffic, there weren't more people who saw something that might help the investigation. It's startling to think that Guillermo and Wolfie's families have had to endure this long without any real answers or leads, while life kept moving around them in Five Points.
I can't begin to imagine the frustration and sorrow their loved ones must feel. It's a stark reminder of how fragile the pursuit of justice can be when faced with an elusive crime like this. Despite the difficulties, I sincerely hope that anyone who might have seen something, no matter how small, comes forward. Sometimes even the tiniest piece of information can become a crucial puzzle piece.
It's important that the community continues to support each other and keeps talking about this case so that Guillermo and Wolfie's story isn’t forgotten. Stay safe and take care.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the community impact from Guillermo Ornelas and Refugio "Wolfie" Herrera’s case. I remember hanging out in the RiNo Art District back then—it's a place that thrives on creativity and brings people from all walks of life together. It's unsettling to know such a tragedy took place in a locale meant for art, music, and connection.
What's been occupying my mind is how safety can feel so fragile. Bars and cultural hubs are where friendships are forged and lifelong memories are made, yet this incident is a stark reminder of how quickly things can turn.
I also wonder how the local businesses and patrons have felt over these years. They were suddenly cast into the epicenter of horror and mystery, a heavy shadow for an area known for vibrancy. I hope justice comes soon, not just for the peace of the friends and families of Guillermo and Wolfie, but also for the healing of the community at large. It takes strength to bounce back from such unnerving events, and my heart goes out to everyone connected to this.
Hey everyone,
I recently dove back into the unsolved case of Guillermo Ornelas and Refugio "Wolfie" Herrera, who were tragically shot back in January 2018 in front of the New Welcome Inn in Denver. I really feel for their families and the emotional toll this must have taken on them.
One aspect that’s been on my mind is the role of the surveillance cameras in that area. The RiNo Art District is bustling and you'd think with all the foot traffic and nightlife there'd be security footage that could shed some light on any potential suspects. I wonder if the investigators were able to gather anything useful from cameras around Chestnut Place that night. Has anyone come across any updates on this angle? It's frustrating to think key pieces could be out there, potentially undiscovered.
It’s unsettling to see years go by without justice or answers. Hope the case gets the renewed focus it deserves. Always keeping the victims' loved ones in my thoughts.
